"Still a lot of fun! The live version of this classic audience participation event draws the audience into a conspiracy of fun." NY Daily News. "A socko wacko weirdo rock concert." WNBC TV. "A musical that deals with mutating identity and time warps becomes one of the most mutated, time warped phenomena in show business." NY Times. "Campy trash." Post. THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW takes place on a dark and stormy night in the 1950s, where super-square Brad Majors and his amazingly innocent fiancιe Janet Weiss seek refuge in a mysterious castle where the adventure begins. They try desperately to survive the diabolical Riff Raff, his incestuously fashionable sister Magenta, her rock 'n' rollin' best friend Columbia, her dangerous biker boyfriend Eddie, a lot of Transylvanians and the sweet transvestite Dr. Frank N. Furter a man determined to change their lives (and their libidos) forever. When Brad and Janet learn of the doctor's wild experiment (Rocky) and his plans for them it takes the intervention of the strange wheelchair-bound Dr. Scott to save them from ultimate destruction!
Complete with sass from the audience, cascading toilet paper,
confetti and an array of other audience participation props, this deliberately
kitschy rock 'n' roll sci-fi gothic is more fun than ever.
Audiences are encouraged to come in costume, shout out the lines, sing along and
"do the Time Warp again" with the cast, creating an intimate atmosphere for late
night insanity and the full Rocky Horror "experience." |
