Owensboro writers coffeehouse opening season Sept. 26

Third Tuesday Writers Coffeehouse will open its 11th season the fourth Tuesday of September. The Owensboro showcase for regional writers will resume its third Tuesday schedule in October.
The event begins at 7 p.m. Sept. 26 in Woodward's at the RiverPark Center on 101 Daviess St.
Performances begin with a 10-minute play by Merely Players, a theater troupe that presents contemporary, audience-friendly plays. Evansville poets Teresa Roy, Allison Baumann and Mark Williams will present their work.
There also will be music, open mike and the opportunity for audience members to share their takes on life in the 21st century.
