Desperately seeking Dr. Frank N. Furter

Merely Players, a community theater troupe in Owensboro, Ky., finds itself desperately seeking someone to play Dr. Frank N. Furter, the mad, transvestite scientist and lead character in the campy, cross-dressing musical comedy "The Rocky Horror Show."
Alan Velotta, the troupe's artistic director, had cast a Frank, and rehearsals were under way when the lead player had to cancel.
If the show, set to play Oct. 27, 28 and 31 at Zazu in Owensboro, is to go on, Velotta needs a new Frank by the middle of next week, he says.
The actor must be at least 21, able to act, sing and dance in high heels.
