Merely Players, a theater company from Owensboro, Ky., will bring "My Name is
Tracy," a Louisville, Ky., writer and director's collection of monologues and
vignettes dealing with domestic violence, to Evansville on Friday and Saturday.
The show, written by Juergen K. Tossmann and directed by Kara Rosenblatt of
Owensboro, will play at 8 p.m. both days in Evansville Civic Theatre's
Underground at the Annex in Washington Square Mall.
Tossmann, producing and artistic director for Louisville's Bunbury Theatre,
based the show's scenes and monologues on interviews conducted with the Center
for Women and Families in Louisville.
The show premiered at Tossmann's theater before moving to Owensboro, where it
played last week.
As with that show, producers will split proceeds from ticket sales with the
local Court Appointed Special Advocates program to assist abused and neglected
children.
Tickets are $10, and available at the door for both performances. For more
information, visit www.merelyplayers.org.
