New theater troupe holding auditions

Merely Players, a new theater troupe in Owensboro, will host its first round of auditions Jan. 28 and 29.
Residents who want to try out should attend auditions from 7 to 9 p.m. Jan. 28 or 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 29 at the Healing America Training Room at Ninth and Allen streets.
The theater troupe has a tentative schedule of weekly events set for Zazu, an East Second Street nightclub.
