Michael Conley Music Director
Michael
has lived in the Owensboro, Kentucky area for thirty years. Before coming to
Owensboro, Michael was a resident of Sparta, Illinois, where he studied piano
with esteemed Julliard graduate, Jacqueline Orr-Mines. After high school
graduation, Michael relocated to Owensboro, and attended college at what is now Brescia University. |

Michael is a parish member and employee of the St. Stephen Cathedral the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Owensboro in Western Kentucky, where he performs as organist. Michael has served as Director of Music Ministry at St. Stephen Cathedral for twenty-eight years, and for most of that time, was also the keyboardist for the Diocesan Choir. Michael’s duties at St. Stephen Cathedral are to coordinate all aspects of music ministry. He especially enjoys working with the Adult Choir. He also directs a small Kid’s Choir, and, with the aid of other adults and some of the youth in the parish, is in the process of forming a Teen Ensemble. Michael’s
passion for music and expertise in musical direction for both instrumental and
vocal performance is an invaluable attribute to the company of Merely Players. |
